DIRECTIONS
In keeping with the event goals and because parking is very limited, we strongly encourage the use of car- alternative transportation to the Dorchester Beach Festival. Please use the MBTA Red Line Savin Hill stop or consider walking or cycling to the beach. Our partners at DotBike will develop bike maps and marked routes; the T is a short 5 minute walk. Click here for overview map.
DCR Rangers will secure the entrance to the Malibu Beach Morrissey Boulevard parking lot. No general parking will be allowed in this lot. Only vehicles with handicapped credentials and event support vehicles displaying event placards will gain access to this lot. Limited parallel parking will be available in the right southbound lane of Morrissey Boulevard. Please pull close to the curb, but not on the sidewalk and take care not to block any driveways. All passengers should exit from passenger side and use caution when parking and exiting vehicle.
- By MBTA Subway: From the Savin Hill T Station on the Ashmont Branch of the Red line, the beach is a 5-minute walk. Exit the station through the main doors at the north end of the platform onto Savin Hill Ave. Turn right and *proceed over Rt. 93 bridge; take second right onto Playstead Road. You’re at the beach! The Dorchester Beach Festival is down the beach toward the left.
